BOLT Foundation Course

The two modules are offered in a blended format, with face-to-face sessions and online activities. Together they focus on designing and implementing blended learning, aiming to increase teachers’ familiarity and knowledge of teaching approaches using technology, with the main component being the design and implementation of a Learning Innovation Plan.

Module 1 - Designing Blended Learning

By the end of BOLT Module 1 (Designing Blended Learning) you will be able to:

  • Describe a variety of blended and online learning approaches, techniques and tools
  • Critically evaluate these approaches, techniques and tools
  • Apply these approaches, techniques and tools to your own teaching and learning context

Module 2 - Implementing Blended Learning

By the end of BOLT Module 2 (Implementing Blended Learning) you will be able to:

  • Implement a novel teaching & learning intervention based on blended and online learning approaches, techniques and tools
  • Report on student feedback on the intervention
  • Critically evaluate the intervention and its impact on your teaching and learning context
